nighttime skincare routine

Yes! While it's fairly common that going to bed without removing the makeup or washing your face is a big NO! NO! Nighttime skincare routine is so important and that I understood after taking actions and learning some tips and tricks for simple, easy and effective routine. Some months back, I never really had any skincare routine and I absolutely had no Idea that a night skincare can do so much wonders. There are variety of ways to take such good care of your skin at night and for that matter it is absolutely important to not skip your night routine! There are also many home remedies which I am going to talk about it in this and some products I have been using lately.

lets get right into this!

Firstly, no matter how much you're tired, never ever skip your night routine! Here’s what you NEED to do before you catch some Zzzz’s!

STEP 1: REMOVE YOUR MAKEUP

What I generally do is first remove my makeup using a cotton and some body lotion for my foundation, eyeshadow and use vaseline to remove my eyeliner! There are also products available in the market as well!

Some of the product list for removing makeup,

Coconut Oil

Vaseline

Garnier micellar water

STEP 2: FACE WASH

Use really mild face wash, if you have very sensitive skin. Use herbal products instead of using really harmful products that can damage your skin. Also, Got so many questions on my Instagram story of what was that massager I was using, I used VEGA FACIAL CLEANSER . you can get this product on Amazon, Nykaa, Flipkart. In case, you are new here you can follow me on Instagram "THECOZYVIBE" click this link to watch the video

step 3: Cleanse Skin Thoroughly

I know you’re tired, but the comfort of your bed is only a few more minutes away. Pick a daily face pack or a mask which suits your skin type and before applying any face pack give your skin a good scrub to remove any leftover residue. Don’t forget to clean up any makeup you applied to your neck and chest to avoid unnecessary breakouts! And for that you can use Vega Facial Cleanser instead of using your hands, works so great!

Some of my favorite Scrubs & Exfoliators are,

Neutrogena Deep Clean Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub

Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Walnut Scrub

STEP 4: OIL/ SERUM/ moisturizer

If you’re the moisturizer-only type, you’re just about set! But, consider investing in a serum for your skin type if there’s a specific issue you’re trying to target such as wrinkles, dark spots, blemishes or overall brightness. You can use Castor Oil to apply under your eyes after applying the serum or a moisturizer, as castor oil has great properties of brightening skin and removing wrinkles xx

Apply your serum first, followed by any targeted treatments, then your eye cream and finally your daily moisturizer to seal everything in (moisturizer is optional only if you are not applying serum or oil)!

Some of my favorite oil / serum/ moisturizers are,

The Face Shop White Seed Blanclouding Moisture Cream

Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Radiance Overnight Oil-in-Serum

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Himalaya Herbals Youth Eternity Night Cream

STEP 5: LIP BALM

A must must product to have for every girl and also boys! You can use it as many times as you want and whenever you feel your lips are chapped, flaky, dry and it needs to be moisturised.

Some of my favorite lip balms are,

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Lip Moisturizer SPF 15

The Body Shop Born Lippy Pot Lip Balm - Strawberry

Himalaya Herbals Lip Balm

Natio Shea Butter Lip Balm
